Just go get some headphones. Quit asking us how to spend your $2,000. Put on your iPhone earbuds and spend the money on a fucking Lemur. That will make you happy. :D

bm6a vs genelec 8020a...
gosh.
When I was shopping for monitors I wanted to upgrade mackies 624, I tried a bunch, Adam, KRK, Genelec, Dynaudio, etc.
I was between the Genelec 8030 and the Dynaudio BM5. I have to say the Dynaudio sounded fantastic...clear winners in that price range, but right after I tried the Genelec 8030 and I was OHHHH MY...the stereo image of the genelecs blew away any other monitor I had heard till then...they were punchy and real clear...I was amazed.
I took home the genelecs 8030, but I wasnt very happy with the bass, my room was too big for them....I ended up geting the 8040.
I could have gone for the 8030+7060 sub for the same money that the 8040's, but I thought about the future when I have money for the sub to complement the 8040  .
Genelecs are awesome......so are Dynaudio, but if you are working with electronic music the Genelec offer a more punchy agressive in your face sound.

Just chiming in.. I listened to the KRK vxt6 today, they were nice, had plenty of bass. I'd love to compare them with the bm5a and bm6a

If the monitors are going to be near a wall (alongside and behind) like in a corner... is it better to get a monitor with a bass port in the front or back? I read somehwere that the dynaudios need to have plenty of space behind them
