midi PROGRAM CHANGE for synths

Maybe there is an easy solution, or i am looking for something i cannot explain. I have x4 hardware synths, one i know for sure does not send 'program change' midi data. SO, three do. how do i get ableton live to display the synth programs so that i can choose from within ableton? right now i would have to scroll through banks of sounds(programs) on the hardware. can we do this in ableton instead? all midi is hooked up properly, all sound comes out crystal, its just this one damned thing!
any help would be appreciated!

Every midi clip has a bank-subbank-program parameter. But this may not quite be what you are searching for. Do you want to see the program _names_ on the computer screen? I'm afraid this isn't possible.

seeing the program names would be nice, but having a numbering system would be fine. i don't need pretty names. I was hoping that if i had a song with 3 synths using 1 program each, that i could save that song and load up that song later with the same 3 synths with the midi program information loaded as well(just remembering the program, not any hardware filter animation), so i wouldn't have to go back into each synth and manually choose the sound programs. AM i speaking crazy talk?
can you explain bank-subbank-program parameter?
