+1 for this issue - momentary stuttering scrambled audio

Hi,
I am currently on tour in UK and Europe and also experiencing intermittent audio stutter / dropout issues whilst on stage. The problem is exactly as reported by many other users on these Ableton forums. At some point during my set, the audio is momentarily scrambled / stuttered / drops out and then will return to normal within a few seconds. Occassionaly I have needed to restart Live for the problem to be fixed. The problem typically occurs once during a two hour long set, somewhere near the middle of the set.
My system: Macbook Pro 2.4 C2D 2GB Ram, 7200rpm 160gb internal drive, two Glyph 7200 rpm 250gb QT050 External Drives using FW800, OSX 10.4.9, Abelton Live 6.07, Faderfox DX2, Faderfox DJ2, Audio 8 interface.
I have a dedicated brand new (reformatted) partition on my internal hard drive, with the only software installed being Abelton 6.07 and OSX 10.4.9. I have made all of the usual high performance for audio optimisations eg: dashboard off, screensaver off, Sleep off, Disk sleep off, CPU setting always max, Network off, Airport off, Bluetooth off, IR off, lefthand USB ports etc etc etc etc. I have about 15gb of free space on my Ableton system partition, and 60GB free space on my external audio drive.
My Live set contains 6 tracks, with 9 clips per track, with a maximum of 4 tracks running simultaneously. No fx of any kind. Basic midi mapping for Faderfox controllers. The problem occurs regardless of sample buffer setting ( I have tried 2048 and still get the problem). I have tried various combinations of the disk cache settings in Ableton. The problem also occurs when audio is run from external or internal hard drives, and when the Audio 8 is not connected.
Has anyone had any success with using iFreeMem or disabling spotlight using Spotless?
Is the issue still occurring in Live 6.0.9 or 6.0.10?
