hi everyone. my first post. just have to say i love ableton! so much more organised and easier to use then others. :D well back to the topic. when i am remixing using acapellas etc and need an mp3 file, there are several cracks and gaps in the song. all the parts are there of the song, but it is not a smooth flow. when i do not have quick time installed it says something about administrator rights.
pls help me. really need to get this to work.

please restate your problem.

1)you need to find mp3s?
2) you are having trouble installing quicktime?
3) your acapellas don't flow smoothly?

if it is number three, please describe what you are mixing together: an acapella mp3 with your own music? How did you determine the tempo of the acapella versus the tempo of your song? Where did you set up warp markers in your acapella?

sorry i wasnt clear. when i put any mp3 file into ableton it does not play smoothly. it stops for mili-seconds, and something like distortion. also mp3 songs. not only acapellas, and it is still there no matter what the tempo is.

thanks for the reply.-

one more clarification: you _do_ have quicktime installed, right?

This is a PC? with Live 6.0.someting?

Lastly: is the Warp button turned on, or off?

yes. latest version of quick time.

it does not change anything with warp on off, (what does warp mean after all?)

and yes, windows vista with live 6.01
