L6.05 XP

Ouch!!

had some audio recorded. CPU definiteley ok.
Wanted to work on the clips' volume envelope level. Activated envelope mode.
Double clicked for some reason on on the loop bar at the top of the envelope and WHAM! BLAM! SHEZANG!

I see my Desktop!

then

for some reason my LIVE Icon in the XP Start Menue is also gone. Err?
So let it run from the Ableton folder.
Live starts up. Asks me if I want to restore my previous work? Sure!

WHAM again! Upper Cut Knockout! Right in my ferkin face!

Runtime error...bla....no chance to read....gone.
..
Primitive monkey mamal that I am I try again.

Live loads. . . .

...restore previous session? Hey Great! Sure!

Pop!

Session is loaded just the way it was when i opened it the first time.

All audio gone!! You litlle shite!

Ok. It was 20 minutes of work. But I had just got it right.

So I go deep down into the bowels of my very XP Ableton Temp folder.
Ha. There is audio. But! Its "corrupted" Live says. Grr!

I am writing this cause this has never happened yet.
Except for the obvious...what the funk happened?

Well for one thing you should update to 6.0.10 - there's a lot of bugfixing since your version...

There's indeed no chance to recover your work when the audio files haven been overwritten with junk data during the crash. Most Live internal crashes have been fixed in 6.0.10, so yeah, I can only recommend to update either.

If that crash is still reproducible in 6.0.10, send us an email to [email protected] and include your log.txt file.

Best regards,
Nico
