A Fantastic Idea: The BUTTON

A friend of mine had this idea, so I can't take credit for it. But it's a great one, and it would be easy to do.

Have one more button, perhaps on the toolbar, that disengages arrangement playback from session view playback. God, would this be helpful. What could happen is this:

When you need to "experiment" in Session View without hearing the arrangement, you could click on "The Button". Launch clips, try things out, and do your thing in session view. When you want to hear those noodles in context, or want to record the results into the arrangement, push "The Button" again to re-engage the arrangement.

Brilliant, simple, and effective. Just like Ableton Live.

you can do it.
press the "stop clips" button beneath the "scene start" buttons in session view. arrangment gets disabled. hit the "back to arrangment" button and enable the arrangment clips.
