logic user -Abelton newbie needs help with editing audio

hey guys
just a quick question-im new at ableton and having trouble editing audio.
just say i import a song a can loop it but i want to get rid of the audio before the loop and the end of the loop but i cant seem to find how to do it!
Im using ableton 6LE on a mac for mainly djing and mashups.
im imporing full songs but they are not warping in time which is really wierd..am i doing something wrong..
sorry stupid newbie questions-but im pscyhed to learn this program!!

Drag it to arrange view, select the area yyou want to KEEP, then press CTRL+E to edit it. Right click on this new clip and choose CROP.

so do i have to rend to disc all new loops and then import them into my song???

If you crop them, they are automatically rendered in place.

hey really appreciate your help..having trouble cropping.i dont have a mouse to right click-im using a mac.

CTRL+CLick then, it's the shortcut for right click in OSX. :)
