Unwanted warp mode activated after consolidating clips

These are my preference settings:
Loop/warp one shot samples: Unwarped one shot
Auto-warp long samples: Off
If I select an unwarped clip (or selection) and consolidate it, the newly created clip has warp mode turned on by default. This looks like incorrect behaviour.
is this already fixed in v7?

Actually I think that is normal behavior.
Similarly it is impossible to not have warp on for new recordings.
That is why it is fairly critical I think to use pitch or beats as default mode.
I'd definitely be in favor of a way to turn off warping entirely though!!

Yes.
Warp can be (manually) turned off after consolidating, so there's no reason why Live can't turn warp off automatically after consolidating--and if the preferences are set to 'no warp', it should.

There is of course a whole bunch of related topics to this, all of which have been discussed to death so I don't see any reason to get into all that.

I wish we could turn this and the new recordig warping off as preferences too.
