depends on what you mean by dopest, but final cut is probably best for video editing on the mac.

Not an editing app per se, but check out this new VJ app called Just Add Music made by Ableton forumite itsthejayj.
I'm errr... somewhat pre-orgasmic over here... Going beta in 2 weeks. This is SIIIICK!!

I'm currently using Norkross Movie.
Not the worlds most enhanced video app. But it suits my needs, which is mainly to cut/paste bits of video and add layers of text/images.

+1. Arguably the best NLE option for each platform - but neither is exactly cheap. FCP is, iirc, the evolution of the original Adobe Premiere (also a good app) dev team when Adobe wouldn't endorse/fund it's evolution. Vegas started off life with Sonic Foundry and was also a first class audio multitracker, in fact it has stuff many are still asking for in Live and other DAW's years later.
Both of these options maybe a bit over the top for the OP's intentions however?

Resolume is a real-time VJ app. if you want to edit under windows, Vegas is your friend.
Man, if I woke up tomorrow and the arrange editor in Live had Vegas functionality, that would so make my day...
