TC Near 1.3 and Live 6 troubles

Just got this nice and very feature rich device, the TC Konnekt Live. I love what it is supposed to be able to do, but there are some very anoying problems. I've had similar problems with m old Mbox.
The audio drops out for a second or so and comes back bitdistorted. I open the TC Near program and change the buffer setting (I can also just set it at the same setting as before) and the sound is good again. What could that be.
And, when changing the plug-ins in the konnekt from internal to plug-in or back Ableton shuts down.
And, when using Fabrik-C (the finalizer plug-in) that is a DSP effect on the master it sometimes distorts the sound. I thought it was supposed to run on the internal processor af the Konnekt card.

Well, I did a search on Konnekt, but did not find anything for these particular problems. I did try the ASIO4All, but I wan't to be able to use the ADAT ins of the konnekt and I didn't see how the ASIO4all could do that.

Anyone know of this?

In advance, thanks alot.

Make sure the FW is connected directly to the computer and not to any hub or display.
and uninstall any soundflower drivers if the case..

Hey, thanks for your help. But unfortunetely, it still acts like that.
I just formattet the whole computer and did a fresh install of XP. I disable the internal soundcard and the wireless netcard and run ableton through the konnekt live. I don't have a lot of strain on the computer (or soundcard) and the sound still dissapears and comes back digitally distorted. I tried doing the trick with setting the konnekt to 192khz but to no avail.

any other suggestions, please :?:
