u think you'll be able to listen to a song with quick look without having to open live?

kinda like in Live's browser window....

i would think so for like mp3s but i really doubt it with live projects. if you can watch videos in it i don't see why it would be a problem for mp3s.

on Tiger you can already listen to Mp3's if you use Column View in finder.

Live would have to render a preview of each song to make this possible. Considering that it's called Quicklook, I doubt that even if Ableton would implement a Quicklook plugin for Live, it wouldn't be quick without a pre-rendered file, because of all the possible virtual instruments to be loaded etc etc.
And if Live rendered a preview of each project, when would it do that? Would people wait for Live to go through the project each time you close it so that a preview would be made?
Maybe some preview without any VSTs or effects would be quick to make in real time, but it wouldn't make any sense, if the project wasn't fully wave files.

Hey, this one may be interesting for you

It does not render the sound, but at least the arrangement of projects:

I just started rendering a master mix snippet and putting it next to the project file
