Hi all,
I have a slow startup problem (around 30 sec). I've tried trashing the pref. but it didn't help. Actually, I've had this problem since the Delta version. Are there anything I can do?

My set up:
Computer: Ibook G3 900mhz 640 MB Ram
OS: Mac OS 9.2.2
Live version: 3.0.4
VST plug-in folder: blank
Audio Interface: M-Audio Firewire 410

Cheers,
Pete

Strange --- this is more frequent on OS X for most users. Does it take as long when you activate the internal sound hardware?

If you have opened a lot of folders in the 3 browser windows it takes time to index all the samples in those folders and startup time increases

re:format
It's about the same using sound manager.
re:+1
I've tried it without any sound files on the hard drive.

Have you tried to defrag? Also, check memory settings for Live - I think you'd do well to assign about half of physical RAM.
