Hi there!
I would be really lucky about implementating of Midi out for controlling some other synthies or drummachines on stage. a midi seq. just like the fruityloops piano roll would be enough.

thanks, Tom :p

I really like what I see, but for me to consider using this as a live solution I'd have to be able to hook in my existing gear, too.

Cool, do you trigger frames or control other video things?
What kind of video hardware do you use?

I'm very interested in this!

Ok live is wonderful !!!
But ...
Absolutly no use without midi sequencing ...
Playing around with samples, cutoff, reso, mute is fun but kinda frustrating...
I keep both eyes on this...
But definitly no use for live performance without midi seq...

I must concur.

With a decent, *pattern* oriented drum (x0x), monophonic (analog style) and polyphonic (f.i. matrix) sequencer I would purchase Live instantly.
I am looking for a sort of marriage between Modularing (http://www.modularing.com) and Live. Preferably with Live's user interface because modularing's is a bit arcane here and there.

Without MIDI sequencing, I probably never will buy Live.

Still waiting for a program like that (Orion comes close but runs on PC's),

Hello,

Sure it would very amazing to have midi file loop function in live... i'm waiting...

First,
I use a small Alesis MMT8 hardware sync to Live, just for midi and it rocks ! Try to find this cheap old sequencer and you will not regret it !

Second ,
I have created a software called Ableton Live Commander that allows me to send control Change, Program Change or Note to Ableton Live BUT with Big buttons, Sliders and Sevral keyboard shortcuts. I don't need anymore to click in the small rectangle in live. I just program the remote CC, PC and Note in live (127*3 patterns !!!) and push my big buttons (Next Pattern, Prev Patterns) or keybaord and... during a live act i will never failed anymore to click in the Live little GUI buttons.

I have an MMT-8 sitting around the studio. What specifically are you doing with it?

Live

With the MMT8, i just want to have all my Drumstation Patterns with me and control 2 Clavia NordModular in live.
All the the others is wav file in live.

Interesting, because I have been looking for a stainless steel fridge for these culinary tracks i want to finish, and in the mean time haven't as much use for my modular. what do you say??

Sounds good to me. Will you pay cross-Atlantic shipping?

Yep, Live definitely needs midi sequencing (and vst / dx i support to go with it would kinda make sense).
