M-audio firewire 410 and DJM-800

Hey guys I just got a m-audio firewire 410 audio interface and djm-800. When I try to switch the audio device driver type to ASIO it slows down ableton to the point where I can't even use it so I have to switch back to mme/directx. How am I suppose to set this up?
