Good distortion vst?

hi all,
im looking for a good distortion vst...
with "good" i mean a lot of dirty,crunchy,earbleeding distortion.
i'm using this boogex thing at the moment, which pretty sucks for my needs.
style of music is noisy tekno and hardtechno

amplitube vst is the best for me!!!

start with ableton Saturater, dynamic tibe and Redux (nice for Techno) together with other Ableton FX.
All Amp-modelling should come in handy (Guitar Rig, Ampltibe, Waves GTR and so on)
There is Ohmicide which is nice

Or Izotope Trash...its Multiband Distortion..very good for Bass as well..

Ohmicide is WICKED !
Its a REALLY good multi-band distortion. I totally love it, you can get some disgustingly filthy sounds out of it or just add a bit off fuzz or warmth. great product.

maybe that sounds very noobish, but i like reason's scream distortion module.
is there something similar as a vst?
boogex doesn't even come close...
(no, i don't want to load reason just for that one effect)

camel crusher. and its free.
ohmicide is also very badass.

Set up an audio rack with separate EQ8's followed by the saturator or dynamic tube.
On each EQ8 you use it to just band pass certain frequency ranges and you get more scope on the drive control. The more EQ8s in parallel the more scope for sound mangling. Keep your bass freqs more clean though and it will cut through the mix better - several guitar pedal designs use this philosophy.
Failing that you could try outputting the signal to various outboard and guitar fx? if thats an option. Snares through a DS1 can sound nice and nasty.

absolutely. PLUS, you can change/morph from one preset to the next via MIDI using the Ohmies "Melohman" function. nothing else out there like it presently.

ohmicide is the mother of distortion. i only can say it again and again.
show me any plugin which comes anywhere near to it.

Well i tried camel crusher and the result is just... wow!
i'm surprised what a software effect can do. maybe i will
try this ohmicide thing too....

Maybe i'll just get back to basics, collect some hardware, add a boss se70
and the yellow distortion pedal....
i just can't seem to find my way in software synthizing

Camel Phat's a rather plump mofo too...
Can use its onboard compressor, filters, eq etc. to tweak the 'bleed' ratio in a one stop crunch shop.
