Tarekith will be the person to talk to regarding the MD. You could also try here....

sync Live to the MD. the MD is famed for its hi res clock. you'll get better results all around.

do you have the sync function for your MIDI interface turned on? check under preferences. then you need to follow the MIDI sync instruction on the MD manual (i don't remember much of it, but it's under Global)

sorry if that's too vague... i'm not near my MD at the moment

I don't have midi interface. I connect my MD direct into my sound card PRESONUS Firebox. Must I buy a midi interface to sync my MD in LIVE ?

I'd be very surprised if the Firebox didn't have MIDI I/O. Check your manual...

I believe the Firebox has a breakaway cable with midi I/O. So, yes you do have a midi interface.

Yeah, you need to connect the MD to the Firebox with MIDI cables as well to sync Live to it. So you connect MIDI Out from Firebox to MIDI In MD. Then read the manual for the MD on how to enable MIDI sync. You basically want to set the MD to receive an external sync. After that, read the Live manual on how to enable sync under Preference, which is basically telling the MIDI out interface to send a sync signal. This way you will be able to control the tempo of the MD with Live.

It is also possible to route the MD and Live so that the MD can control Live's tempo. I suggest you follow and figure out how to do the above first. I'm pretty sure that once you have it set up and read the manuals, you'll be able to figure how to do it this other way as well.

Good luck...

(sorry, i'm not in the studio right now, otherwise i would give you more detailed instructions)

So,
jump in the Bus, ride to the next music store and buy the cable! Its just a few Euros!!!
The shops are still open in Belgium, arent they?

i prefer to sync my monomachine to live as that way PDC (plugin delay compensation) remains active and everything coming through live stays in sync audiowise. otherwise i might have a sound coming from the mono and it's out of sync with the stuff in live due to latency somewhere in the plugin chains...

and the mono works fine with live 6 as master once you set the midi delay in the sync out correctly.
