asd files not being read?

okay so i have been using live to write all my songs, i now have 8 of them and my next point of business is to play with how i want ot mix these songs together.I want to import all 8 aiff's into a new session. this is all dead simple, but i get them in there ,and there is no tempo set ofr them, when i click warp markers, it defaults to the new sessions tempo...What the hell is going on here? I made sure to creat .asd files for every rendered song, so why doesn't Live know the tempo of them?
