Audio Hardware For Multiple Outputs?

hey, I'm trying to figure out how to cue my samples so I can hear things before they enter, but it seems I only have the option to 1/2 audio output. I use Core Audio, the audio hardware that came with my MacPowerbook. Do I need to buy new audio hardware in order to cue parts, or is there a way to get another set of outputs without doing so?

thanks for your help.

Sounds like you need a soundcard with multiple outputs (at least 2 stereo pairs = 4 outs). There are many options but the echo indigo dj is a cheap and highly portable solution - needs a PCMIA slot on your lappy I believe.

Cheers.

...and when you get your new soundcard you'll need to properly set it up in your prefs OK?
