Lost audio (sound) from computer to headphones

I have Live Lite 4 Abelton. My computer is hooked up to my Peavey 8 Mixer.
When I have the mic on - I can hear voice/sound through the headphones.
When I try to play back a voice recording or a song from a CD I cannot hear anything.
I have had this set-up for quite awhile and it has been fine.
I don't know where to look to fix the problem.
I have been away from my audio recording for sometime...have just returned.
I am a storyteller....help I have lost my voice and my ears....
There is no sound in my speakers or my headphones...
