Hi All,
Well, it was a gorgeous sunny day for the Melbourne Cup here in Melbourne yesterday, which is a public holiday. So what better to do than lock myself in my dark studio and whip a track together.
Its up on my myspace, called "We are here".
Its still a bit of a work in progress, few details to shuffle around but the big picture is pretty much together.
Let me know what you all think.
Thanks!
Dave Davies

New version of the track has been uploaded to myspace. Few of the rough edges smoothed off.
Have a listen, give some feedback, or just lurk

Hey Dave,
I like this track but I think the best parts are when it kicks off around the 3.30, 5.50 and 7 minute mark but unfortunately they don't last too long. I'd like to hear more of these parts used in the track as the really lift it.
I like the percussion throughout and the production is good.
Keep 'em coming.

I'm not that into housey stuff to be honest but this has some great stuff going on. I love the pads with the detuned oscillators and the reverb. The bassline is very funky with that beat, the kick isnt over shadowed how some tracks can end up and you've mixed everything just right.
I love the vocal sample, adds a touch of interest in the longer parts and breakdowns. it gives the track real character.
