Midi filter plugin?

Hi,

I know midipipe is a good filter, but I only want filtering on one track, not all the incoming midi. Is there a midi filter plugin I can put on an individual track, like the Ableton midi effects? I just need to disable some controller information to a single instrument. (Can't believe LIVE doesn't have a filter as one of its midi effects already. It does for note range. Why not controller? Am I missing it?)

Anyway, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

David

not really, no - inless anyone else knows different I don't think Live works very well with 3rd party midi filters...

Does midipipe mean mac? Midi-ox on pc is what I'd use ... You should probably be able to set up one midi channel, like e,g channel 16, to filter out whichever cc's you don't want - then set up everything else on your controller as it's default channel (i.e. leave it alone ... probably normally on channel 1 - but you should know or be able to find this out) - then set up the controllers you want to use (and filter) on channel 16 (or whichever channel you chose).

Maybe someone else will tell you a better idea - that's the best I can come up with.

Thanks for the thoughts. Not sure it'll work for what I'm trying. But I'll think about it.

Yeah, MidiPipe is on the Mac.

Controller filtering just seems like such a basic function. Can't believe it's not right there in front of me.

Anyway, appreciate the note.

Thanks!
