hey fellas,

been on LIVE for 1 1/2yr now... Used it every day, at least 3-4 hrs, but mostly around 6-7hrs a day... i didn't get that deep with it I just basically prepare sounds in a few tracks, get em ready and then try to bang out a basic mix/arrangment that's as close as the one I have in my head down.. I found that if I need to go back and change a lot of things around in many cases I just get lost and loose crazy time doing it... and end up not liking the end result ofetn anyway...the furstatio comes from knowing I had something that rocked to begin with !

i read in this music mag (FUTURE MUSIC) where they listed the daw programs "pros/cons" and they were confirming almost the same thing I'm saying :

"A dream fir mixing and messing but it's rough if all u want is a fully-formed tune out of your head"...

what do u think ? Any ideas suggestions ?...

i know this thing is an amazing daw and know LIVE can be used in a miriad of different ways so maybe it's all in finding a way to make it work for me ?"...

the only way to finish things is to have deadlines and then let things be. As a musician you will never be happy and remix everything over and over again.

The disadvantage of live is that it allows you to get into every detail again. This was an advantage of the old days of analogue producing/recording: Typically you left the studio with a 2-track master and then you had to live with it.

Unless you got access to the multi-track-recordings: Paul McCartney remixed the "Let it Be"-album more than 30 years after it had been published. And they even had called the record "let it be"!
