Hi.
I would love some feedback on the song "let's keep in touch". I do my mixes on two crappy stereospeakers and don't really know if they sound ok.

I tried to work really fast when I made this one because I feel if I linger to long on details I tend to lose the original idea or feel of the song when composing straight onto my pc rather than on a guitar or whatever.

Then you should put a link to it.

Actually, i heard it, and liked it.
The mix seems ok, and myspace isnt the best place to judge if a mix is done correctly but:

- the output is so 'hot' that there may be distortion or clipping.
- could use a little bit more top end imo.
- the bass range lacks a bit of definition, try eqing out low frequencies from all sounds who dont need them.
- those handclaps are a bit too loud.

Catchy tune, man.

ahhh.

thanks for your feedback.
Does it need to be a problem that the mix is hot if I limit/compress it enough?
The bass definition, now that is information I like.

Thanks alot!

(and here's the mix: www.myspace.com/evenseninterceptor )

The problem could be that you're limiting too much.
You have to check the levels in the master channel.

Cheerio.
