i wish that manually-triggered loops did not cut off when 'stop' is pressed on the sequencer.
that was the great feature about the alesis mmt-8 (a late-80's hardware sequencer), and is probably the reason that the mmt-8 is antiquated, yet still so popular with techno musicians: you can record, play, stop, transport, and replay all without stopping the flow of manually-triggered music.
this is also essential, in my opinion, to the addictive 'vibe' of a sequencer like the MPC2000: you can bang in notes while the thing loops, and it doesnt assume you want anything that you don't specifically tell it to do.
its hard to put one's finger on, i know, but im just basing this suggestion on what it 'feels like' Live should do when i am mired in the creative process and i don't want any interruptions at all.
