Send MIDI start/stop on clip launch/deactivation

When using external sequencers (such as the Manikin Schrittmacher) it would be immensely useful to be able to send a MIDI start command when launching a specified clip and a MIDI stop command when deactivating the clip. This would need to be coupled with an option to not automatically send a MIDI start command whenever Live's sequencer starts.
I'd like to use the Schritt "selectively" alongside Live while staying in synch, without it automatically running whenever Live does. Minimally, an option to disable Live from sending a MIDI start would allow me to manually start and stop the Schritt, but driving it from clips would be really cool.
