Anyone know a way of mass deleting the track numbers from the beginning of track names in itunes?
Its really annoying when searching for tracks in dj mixes.
eg. 04 in white rooms (neo mix) rather than just.
in white rooms (neo mix)

thanks

you have programming skills?

visual basic / java / c# / c++ ... it's dead easy to create a little command line tool that removes all numbers at the start of filenames (could do it for you if you want if it's PC based , don't have any mac compilers sry)

if you want to dive into the mp3tags it gets a little more complicated so you'll have to do the research yourself or find some shareware app

go into library view in Itunes, and highlight all of your tunes you want to change the tag of.

right click one and select Get Info. go to the info tab. If you blank out the number fields, and press ok, it should remove them all from the tags.
