Mackie Big Knob for dance music production studio

Hello,
I've read really mixed reviews of the Mackie Big Knob on these boards.

I'm upgrading from Behringer Truth monitors to Yamaha HS80m, the Big Knob will come between the Yamaha Monitors and my RME Multiface outputs.

I'm not a Pro engineer and my ears are nowhere close to you all. But i'm a professional DJ and do remixes and original productions and some jingles/TV stuff. I would like to make good sounding mixes which would play back fine one other systems/clubs.

Will the Big Knob be sufficient for my needs or will it horribly color the sound? The Presonus Central Station is too expensive for now.

Also i could have gone with the SPL Volume 2, but i need to connect 2 pairs of monitors and multiple input sources.

Please advise

I happen to have a big knob. 13 inches of tough love to be exact. I can lease it out to be used around the studio. PM me if interested.

Try one of these two, passive so basically no effect at all on the signal. I use the NHT one and it does what it says on the tin > it's a volume control, end of story.

edit:oops, didn't read the last bit>maybe you could find some kind of passive switcher to go with one of these?

maybe ask over at gearslutz.com, probably get a few suggestions there
