tipper is arguably the best producer who ever lived, and he did some of the drumkits. they don't say tipper on them, but if you know his music you'll be able to tell in like one second. supposedly they are just amazing.

a ton of the logic studio files are in .caf format and I dunno if Live supports that yet. it's a new wrapper for a variety of audio types, including lossless compressed.

is it worth trying to recreate the kits from the audio?

Most of the new drum kits in Logic 8 are done with ultrabeat. These kits are a mix of samples and synthesized sounds using ultrabeats synthesis capabilities. You cannot export an ultrabeat kit to anything so that sampler can read, it would have to be all samples. The best you could hope for was if these 'tipper kits' were ones that used only samples which you could take to load into sampler. Of course you'd still lose all the ultrabeat settings associated with it in the kit. And I really doubt they were made with the exs.
You could also just grab logic express for 200 bucks and actually use ultrabeat. Export beats and cut 'em up in ableton etc...

Yea that would be absolutelt tits if you could load up any of the kits that tipper, richard devine, etc. have designed. It would also be tits if you could rewire logic as a slave into ableton to make dumping sounds from ultrabeat easier.
Yo Phatt, when are you commin back to SF again?

You get the Logic content on the DVD's that come with Logic when you buy it...
And yes, there are some wicked Ultrabeat kits in there...

Meek/Spector/Martin as just three examples for Dave to aspire to. However he does apparently own the loudest car in the world but whether that's something to be proud of ymmv

That loud car thing is actual Fuel record's, not Tipper's, and that's years and years old now. And I'd have to agree he's one of the best producers out there at the moment. You can hear his stuff on Addictech.com.

I have a friend with Logic so I will check out his kits do you guys with Logic know if they're marked as his kits? Or as he supplied the samples to the Ultrabeat Kits?
Thanks
