Live 7 / Live 6 simultaneously & benefits from OSX 10.5?

Greets forum :)

I am currently running Tiger with Live 6.7. I'd like to install Live 7 as a fresh install and run the two side by side for a period. Will the upgrade package I purchase allow me to have a separate "applications" folder entry so I can choose which version to fire of Live up? - I presume and hope so..

I guess I am wondering how self contained the installs are. I'd like to start playing with Live 7 but not at the expense of potentially messing up any current work-in-progress on Live 6 projects.

Also, any peeps out there running Live 7 on Leopard? Any persuasive upgrade reasons / discovered problems?

Yours cautiously..

it will install to the same applications folder, you then pick a new library for live 7 so as to not mess up your live 6 library.

personally, i'm running leopard and boot camp with both 6.0.10 and 7

6.0.10 is on both windows and mac and 7 is pure mac only

my library for 6 is on the FAT32 windows partition and readable by both OSes
7's library is just on the HFS Mac side of the internal.

Some great space can be achieved by putting your iTunes library on an external.

right now, i have 85GB free on my internal drive, post libraries. that's with 2 os'es!

oh, and to answer your question, you should be ok.
and leopard rules.
