[L7] - Macro assignments changed when dragging to drum rack

If I hold ctrl+alt and drag a new sample to drum rack to add to a pad then the Simpler that was already there has all it's macro mappings changed to the new enclosing rack where all the macros are blank and are at zero/-inf

Obviously there is no option for mapping to an outer rack so ideally the existing macros should be automatically mapped to the macros they were mapped to

I guess this is probably for feature requests - but as it is it feels like the ctrl+alt multi-sample ability is only half implemented

I have noticed this as well.

If you slice a loop and then try and layer the pads with extra sounds (Multi) then the macros from the original sliced sample all reset, this only happens or me when the loop has been sliced or it's a rex file. Just layering pads with single hits works fine.

Below is what support had to say...

It seems like that you found a bug!
Thank you for this, i will forward it to our bugs department.

As a workaround i can offer you:
In the drum rack, click on 'show/hide chain list', scroll to the button of the chain list, drop your additional bassdrum in the empty space (to: drop devices here) and click the 'show/hide input/output section' button.
Adjust the 'receive note' of the newly added bassdrum to the same note as the bassdrum you want to beef up.
Now you have the pad as a multi but everything will play like it should.

hmm that's odd that they say it's a bug - I started reporting it as a bug but then I realised it was because you cant map to the outer macros - if you try and map a knob on one of the devices inside the inner rack then you can only map it to the inner macros
