Hello Raapie,
Does this happen with Live 3.04 as well?
Best,

just dl'd 3.04 same results. I am using my RME Hammerfall with Multiface. In Live and Wavelab different inputs and outputs are used so no conflicts.
somehow when I change the outputs in Live I can use it again. so it seems that ASIO is locked.
what else can I try?

Hi Raapie,
Do both applications make use of the ASIO driver?
Please mail me the Live Log file:
The Log.txt file can be found in following location:
Windows: (Installation Directory)/Ableton/Preferences
Mac OS 9: /System/Preferences/Ableton
Mac OS X: /Library/Preferences/Ableton
Best,
Ch. Kleine

Thanks. Yes, both apps are using ASIO drivers but different channels of the RME Hammerfall, so both can be played at the same time. In Wavelab no input is selected by the way. I have send you the log.txt zipped by email.
Let me know if you need more info. I am on Windows XPsp1 using a RME Hammerfall soundcard.

Greetings Raapie:
The WaveLab 4.x can be updated to version 4.1b. Not sure if it will fix the problem you are having, but I thought I would throw it out there.

are you sure it's 4.1b and not 4.01b (which I am using for months now) ?

My bad - typo on my part. It is 4.01b.
In the topic subject line it refers to 4.0g; which, is why I mentioned it that a newer version was available. The thread never indicated that you were using a version other than 4.0 g. Too bad I couldn't help out.

no problem. issue was caused by bug in Live. it's solved in 4.04 beta. but I hope they do an update on version 3 as well for it.
