Ringing/Buzzing only with Live

Hi,
I am experiencing high-pitched ringing while interacting with Live. It occurs only when using Live whether on play or just editing. Often the frequencies change while mousing around.
System:
15 inch Apple Powerbook
1.67 GHZ, 80 gig hard drive
I am routing my sound through my standard soundcard. The problem occurs whether plugged into monitors or headphones, whether plugged in or not.
I can not replicate the problem with any other programs (iTunes, Movies, etc.) so I don't believe it is necessarily an electrical or soundcard problem. Has anyone else had these problems? Any ideas?
