What do you mean with auto remapping. If you select the padKontrol in your MIDI prefs then it will work fine, be sure that your padKontrol is set to Scene 1 (check your display)...

Which version of Live are you using? padKontrol support was added in Live 7.

I have padkontrol on port A selected and it still only plays certain pads off of drum racks. I even tried to manually change the pads to C1 - c1#, ect ect and nothing
extremely frustrating

Within MIDI prefs you should the following settings:
Control Surface: padKONTROL

Under MIDI ports
Input: padKONTROL Input (padKONTROL
Track - On
Remote - on

By automapping I mean the feature that scrolling the pads to the right of the drumrack map will automatically remmap the padKontrol to the new selected group of pads. It doesn't seem to work. This feature was shown in the video on drumracks.

I initially had problems with the automapping not working. Everything is running well now that I did the following:
Make sure that PadKontrol is selective in the top 6 "native device" slots in the Midi preferences. You should also have turned "on" the "track" and "remote" sections of the input and output channels you are using for the PadKontrol (the midi ports are not used with USB).
Reset Scene 01 on the PadKontrol to the factory preset. Select and use this Scene with the device. In Live select the padKontrol as the Midi input on the track. (I think that the remapping gets confused if you have "all" selected.)
This should get you up and running.

Use the Korg PadKontrol Editor Librarian. Load one of the scenes in the directory that the program is in (for me that is C:\Program Files\KORG\padKONTROL\Preload Scene). There is the "factory preset" scene set. Use that. I would save any scenes that you have set up before you overwrite them though. Good Luck.
