Live 5.02 and MacBook OSX 10.4.9 ?

Hi, I´m having some technical problems with my purchased copy of Ableton Live, the issue is as reads below:
1. Your version of Live
LIVE 5.02
2. Your computer configuration and operating system
MacBook (black)
MAC OSX 10.4.10
Processor 2.16 Ghz Intel Core Duo
Memory: 1 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
3. Your audio hardware
Built in audio card
4. A detailed description of the problem
I bought a while ago Live 5.02 boxed set and installed it in another laptop, shortly after, I bought Live 6 upgrade for the same computer because I was experiencing drop clips and freezes while playing. However it didn't changed much,
Now I bought a new computer, the one described above, and installed the demo version of Live contained in the box set. I did set up the energy saving issues. So I proceeded to open a new live file in my brand new computer, only to find out that as soon as I create 1 MIDI channel, only 1!, with any file contained in Ableton>Library>Clips>Beats>Electronic/... I star experiencing heavy CPU usage up to 70% and more! only with 1 clip. I can't believe this, I bought a "better" machine to avoid this problem, and I have it again with only 1 MIDI clip, even with the simplest one.
Thinking about this issue, a couple of questions come to my mind, so I'll be glad if you could please corroborate this, or present a suitable solution for my problem.
¿Could my new computer have a problem?
¿Is Live 5.02 suitable for my computer configuration?
¿Should I install Live 6 for example?
Since I bought and downloaded the upgrade from Live 5 to 6, I'm a little afraid of uninstalling Live from my older computer and getting a new unlock key for my new one facing the possibility that it may not work. Specially if at least I can work with the actual configuration of Live in my PowerBook G4 MAC OSX 10.3.9 1.5GHz PowerPC G4. I don't understand what can be happening here, Intel Core Duo is supposed to be more powerful than the PowerPC G4
I've read that Live 6 works fine with MacBooks Intel Core duo's, and I've actually tested successfully with other machines using several MIDI channels with VST's, Live Instruments and FX.
So in this specific case, ¿What could be the problem? ¿How can I solve it?
I'm starting to feel a head ache with this issue. Your help will be grateful.
Thank you
