Jeeez guys, surely it cant be hard to some how filter out threads with titles that contain words like "incest" and "preteen"???
just take the step! - surely a filter like that could be setup by a 12 year old kid in about 20 muinutes?
cant you even use Angstrom and Nebulaes greasemonkey self-moderation code somehow?
you have to do something. there has to be a line drawn somewhere

What do you expect? they only have 93 people working for them,
if they employed anyone else the whole company would fall apart.
Their not that rich, have a heart.

I'm with forge on this.
I teach music full time (mostly school age kids), and I have recommended Ableton to pupils. I cannot easily accept a situation where those pupils - or their parents trying to help them - might come to the official company forum and find it has links to illegal filth and pornography.
I think that if Ableton don't act on this sharp, it will actually become difficult for me to continue using Live with school age pupils. I have my own reputation to think about here too...

my wife is a schoolteacher and i also occasionally work with some of her kids who use live as well when i'm home...as much as i don't care about the spam and just skip it, headquest has a really good point.....i'm sure the parents wouldn't appreciate it...

One forum I use has quite a simple solution to this, you need at least 10 posts before you can post any links or images
It doesn't stop the thread title from appearing in the forum but at least it can't link to dubious websites.
Ableton used to be really quick at squashing these threads, but seem to be a bit too busy lately.
Doesn't stop certain regular users posting dodgy images and links though.

This is the part of the internet I hate the most.
Most of the time I can easily ignore porn bots but when it comes to preteen, rape, incest, violent porno vomit I simply can't.
definitly +1
I just hope they wont start posting real shit like that, I saw some other forums on the web with spam problems related to real child porn posted in the pages.

+1, absolutely.
Same thing here, recommending the program a lot to my peers (in my case, worship musicians at churches), and I always have to warn them about the unmoderated nature of what is generally a great forum. It's unprofessional.

I agree.
It wouldn't cost much in terms of effort and would really help the image of the forum and support.
Please can we have this for Christmas?

Disagree.
But clear out the porn. That's just offensive.
