Remote SL OS 4.1... don't update...really unstable with Live

just updated to OS 4.1 for Remote SL to try and solve a midi timing problem where the midi clock that the Remote was putting out was unstable... but wish I didn't....
OS 4.1 is completely unstable with Live 6.10 and 7.01.... seems to add a large processor overhead which just freezes live. Tried same projects with Remote SL on=crashes with Remote SL off= stable....
So anyone knows if I can just run the 3.1 OS setup for Remote and go backwards....
