Melodyne Plugin Frozen GUI in Live 6

I just downloaded the Melodyne plug-in demo yesterday, and noticed that after Melodyne was inserted into an existing project, its interface failed to load up. It's as if it is trying to load but nothing happens. The system does not crash or anything, and audio seems to pass through Melodyne, but the GUI just does not come up.
Interestingly, when I insert Melodyne into a blank project, the GUI shows up fine.
Anybody else have the same experience? I emailed Celemony and they said they had not encountered this issue before.
