Problem finding Drum Machines in Live 7

I downloaded Drum Machines and then dragged and dropped it into Live 7. Live starts up but I can't find the drum machines. I looked in the drum racks folder, not there. I've followed the manuals directions... can anyone help?

Hi,
You should find the Drum Machines presets in the Drum Rack/Kits, and some MIDI clips in your Library/Clips/Drums
See in the Preferences, Live packs tab, to make sure Drum Machines packs are installed.

The packs are not installed. I unzipped the drum machines folder and dragged it into Live 7. In the Live 7 browser the drum machines shows up, but nowhere else. I have unlocked drum machines, it shows the serial number..... this is really frustrating.... oh and I did the search for live packs and it doesn't come up....

If you can see them in your Live browser, what more do you need?

It only shows up as a folder in the browser, not an application that I can use. Hey, I paid money for a product and I can't use it, it's way too frustrating....

Ableton instruments have always been available only in Live. You can't use them in other hosts.

But all the samples are there, you can use those to build kits in whatever other program you like
however, this doesn't sound like the problem at hand.

It's
not an application. It's a bunch of samples and presets.

Hey, thanks for the responses, ok, it's not an application, just samples and files, but I imagine that its supposed to show up in the drum racks folder as some sort of instrument rack or simpler machine... my point is that the samples or files do not show up, and when I look in the Live packs, it doesn't show up. Thus I can not use it to make up some old school hip hop.

OK. So we agree on the terminology.
I haven't gotten my box yet, so I can't tell you what it's supposed to look like. I'm guessing a rack called 808, 909 and so on...

it doesn't show up as drum machine. it shows up in drum racks, then kits, then the individual machines are in there by name. quit whining about an "app" being broken where there are pretty straightforward directions for how to download and install them. people are trying to help, you seem not to be trying very hard to follow what they're saying. (you may not have opened the separate zip file for the drum machines, but if it's showing up in your browser, then you likely did.)

I'm not sure dragging the packs in is the proper way to do it. Maybe not. Haven't tried that myself, but I can tell you what
does work:
If you think you've installed it wrong, download the packs again. Leave the packs on your desktop and launch Live. Go to prefs, then search for packs. Click "install packs" and locate the individual pack you want to install. Repeat for each pack.
I was told this is the proper way to do it. Worked perfectly for me.

Wow, "whining", you're pretty quick to throw insults around.. anyways, I already changed my terminology, so whatever
Thank you Tarekith, you are very helpful, that's what I thought it should look like, problem is, it doesn't. Icedsushi, you are probably correct, I'll keep trying...
