Well, I need to rewire Logic TO Live, but I suppose the demons at Apple will never let that happen.

You can use Mainstage to do that... calm down and think it through.

Mainstage can act as rewire slave? Are you sure about that? I didn't think so.

Mainstage via soundflower works, but you lose any tempo sync then.

Perhaps you would benefit from an iphone or the new ipod touch or many other fine items from the Apple products line. Go down to an Apple store and talk to a tech at the genius bar where we wear black shirts and name badges that tells you we are more than just a retail store.

I guess, but that's no rewire. I'd probably only use that for sculpture.

Have you tried using the external instrument? It doesn't work does it? So you'd use a midi track to send and an audio track to receive?

I've given up on Logic until they fix the Core Audio Overload on 8-core mac with 12 gigs of ram and only 3 tracks of built-in instruments problem.

(yes, I know... it's just me)
