hi guyz! 8)

I hope You can give me some info about this topic caue i m getting lost with it.

i am dj since long time, lately I bought live 6, because i move country quite many times and i m not always able to buy decks and mixer...and since i heard that with Live i might be able to dj...well... i bought it...

i write you down all the things i did...tell me if something is wrong or something is missing in my process...

1) i recorded my records on another software (logic) and then bounced them

2)i then imported these into Live...though that automatically it was going to beat matching them...i was wrong...

3) asked a frind that uses Live...and he told me that i had to set up the LOOP function on the track window, and everything should have worked

4) i did it

5) it still didnt work

6) i thought was something wrong with my recorded tracks... so i downloaded some Mp3 to check this out.

7) same problem

8) at the moment i m working on the "tranxient" ( i m not sure if the word in english is this...but u know the wertical line i can move back or forward to make the sample fit in time with the whole track)

9) i m loosing my sight...ehhehe  ...

i noticed with some tracks it goes on beat automatically..but still need some work on it...

Is there any tricks or whatever else that can help me with this??

thansk for the help...

with #8, usually for 4x4 (house/techno) ableton guesses the tempo not too badly, but you just need to move the 'transient' line (warp marker) to the first beat and go to the end of the song and double click a marker to add another one and make sure it hits the right downbeat too.

yup, there's no escaping the fact that you have to warp manually to get good results. For most dance music this can be done pretty quickly though, as long as the track has a steady tempo.
