Hi.
Does anyone know any software which will resample the text to speech feature in OSX?
I know I can route a soundcard output to an input but it would be handy if there was a quick easy way of doing it.
AFIK Audio Hijack wont sample it.
Thanks.

Have you tried soundflower?? I use it to grab audio from my various game emulators, can't imagine it would be any different with that.

you can also use the program "say" on the commandline and use the option "-o filename.aiff" to create an aiff file.
Just open a terminal and type "man say" to show the other options.

nice, you can specify the voice with -v argument, the voice name is the same as the OSX name for the voices.
this is easy
cd ~/Desktop
say -v Vicki -o vicki.aiff stuff to say
you'll have the file on your desktop

The version of Say that I downloaded has a checkbox for "speech to desktop". No need for terminal.
Thanks for the link!

if you have word 2008 you can type something up in a document and then click the automator menu on the top right and create a .aiff file of the document.
