live 6 and live 7 co existence?

hi,
i upgraded to live 7 the other day.
now on my laptop i have both versions.
live 6 is really stable but live 7 keeps crashing to the point
that it has trouble even starting up now.
if i uninstall live 6, will that help in anyway?
