Hi,

I have just started using Live Lite 6 and I have been having some trouble with it. At first it was working fine but then all of the lessons and presets for instruments disappeared. I was working through one of the lessons and I think I accidentally changed the library path in the preferences. I was wondering if this is the reason for my problems?
After everything disappeared I tried reinstalling Live but the same issue still occurred. Does anybody know what I can do to fix this? Thanks.

Check your path to the library in preferences. Depending on platform you should take a look down the path to make sure it's there as a start after a reinstall.

The library path is currently set as C:\Program Files\Ableton\Live 6.0.1\Resources

I thought that doing a reinstall would reset it to the default path, but it doesn't seem to do that. After every reinstall the lessons still can't be found and there is nothing in the presets.

I am looking at my path for the 6.0.10 install and I have C:\Program Files\Ableton\Live 6.0.10\Resources\Builtin Lessons showing in my install. Are you running 6.0.1, or 6.0.10 or 7.0.1? I would wait and see if the abes respond or if someone else does.

two options:

1. make a new folder and call it your library in live (change the path to this folder)

then go to the Live Packs tab and Search & Install default live packs (this will reinstall the basics (aka the presets) & lessons for you)

2. find your old library path and refer to that, or after doing step one, still find your old library and delete it.
