Hi all, I am hoping that somebody out there in the world of Ableton users can help me.

My problem is that I have finished making a song and went to render it as per usual. However, following the rendering process I could onlt hear the last two minutes of my song (It is 5 minutes long). The first three minutes are completely silent. I have tried the following :

1. Select all and copied the whole track
2. Selected master in the rendering box

Am I missing something very obvious? I am thinking it might be a problem with the mixer or the master track - but am unsure as I have saved about 20 songs in the last year and had no probs until now.

This is the first track I have used plug ins on - could that be a problem?

Thanks in advance

Were the markers set to the beginning and end of the song?

Check in Arrangement mode and above the first track you will see two little arrows drag the one pointing left to the first bar (or wherever you want to start from) and the one pointing right to the bar where you want the song to end.

Otherwise - take the plugins out and can you hear the rendered mix then.

Are you routing your tracks to master? Is the master track set up to the correct output on your soundcard?

Did you render in arrangement mode (rendering in session view only renders the active clips or something not every track from start to end)

Always remember to render you final mix in arrangement mode and making sure the start and end markers are set up correctly.
