Has anyone purchased the Live 7 upgrade for 119?

The ableton site advertises that you can upgrade to 7 from 1-6 LE or Lite for only 119 and 339 until January 15th, 2008.

Everytime I try to purchase the upgrade they charge full price.

Just wondering if I'm the only one experiencing this. And, yes, my serials are registered for Live Lite 4 and Live Lite 6 (DigiDesign Edition).

I wrote Ableton during the Christmas holidays and haven't received any feedback yet. I tried to contact them via phone but the US phone support is down...

Thanks!!

i bought the version of 6 with the free upgrade to 7 and am now unable to upgrade to ableton suite. I registered both my live 6 and live 7 serial numbers, yet the web site still insists there are no upgrades available for me.

I have written ableton support once a week for the last month and i still have not received a response.

The software is awesome but the customer service SUX. There website is broken and i don't know if i will ever hear from them.

This experience has been so bad i wish i would have just gone with logic. it is cheaper, just as good, and they don't take off 2 months for holiday just as they release a new version and have a broken website.

and to think, all i wanted to do was give them more money.

The way that this sentence reads (to me) is that you can upgrade to 7 from the LE versons 1 thru 6 for $119, and the light version for $339. Is that what you meant? When I read the pricing on the Ableton site it is $349 for both upgrades (download) and $389 (boxed). The $119 refers to if you are upgrading from the full version of 6 to 7. You maybe need to double check the pricing

I upgraded from 6 to 7 just fine. I'm assuming you have registered your previous versions right? Ableton needs to know that you already have a previous version to know how to help you.

They've been through some hectic days for sure, launching 7, then holidays...
Now is the time for them to start updating the site again, lots of people wanting to do upgrades, and there's no 7 to suite upgrade available yet.

I would do so if the price is good, but mainly because of Operator & Sampler. Buying both of them separately is out of the question: 298 €! :(

I don't care too much about the rest of the suite, altough i would probably use drum machines and analog.

Can't see the upgrade prices as I've already done it.

However, $119 is the upgrade price from the full version 6. And older versions I think.

I believe it's $339 from Lite or LE version.

Otherwise you could buy a midi controller for say $200 and upgrade for $119. ie. about $320 including controller instead of regular price of $499. Which is clearly wrong.

As for the suite upgrades, I think it's a limited offer available when you upgrade (til 15th). Not sure there is a regular 7 to suite upgrade price. I wouldn't wait for the website to update, but phone them and find out before the 15th.

Actually, they are offering a NEW pricing scheme until Jan 15, 2007.

Copy and Pasted from Ableton:

Owners of Live 1-6, Live LE and Live Lite can upgrade to Ableton Suite at special introductory prices starting at EUR 299/USD 339. Offer valid through January 15, 2008.

Owners of Live 1-6, Live LE and Live Lite can upgrade to Ableton Live 7 starting at EUR 99/USD 119.

The key words here are "Starting from". ie owners of Live 1-6 will be getting the upgrade cheaper than Live 1-6 LE or Lite users.

The $119 for Live and $339 for live suite are the upgrade prices from Live 6 full version. I think Live 5 (full version) was the same and Live 1-4 slightly more. But upgrades from LE and Lite I think were significantly more cash. Sorry.

Don't count on the new pricing to be cheaper. Although, you never know.

Yes, I guess the question I'm really trying to answer is:

Not regarding the full version, but rather the LE or Lite Version.
Has anyone from Ableton Live LE or Ableton Live Lite to Live 7 for $119 or $339?

Thanks again.

Still not sure what your question is... you might have left a word out of your question sentence.

If you are asking if anyone has upgraded from Live LE to full 7, or Lite to full 7, then I would like to know as well. I still cannot see anywhere on the Abe website where this is possible for the prices you are quoting. There is no pricing structure that states this.

I did, from Lite to 7. For 239€.
But it's not done in one step. First you upgrade to full 6, then you get a free upgrade to 7.
