So it seems that a lot of people have a lot of problems with 7.0.1. for about 6 weeks now. When is a new version available for download? I'm just loosing my fun playing with Live. I didn't read any info from the Abletons yet...

Are _you_ having a problem?
If not, then do you really need an update?
I'm guessing you see more posts here about problems with Live 7.01 (some bugs, some buggy users) because, well, the rest of us feel silly posting "Live 7.01 works AOK for me so far. Yup, still working."

I have absolutely no problems with 7.01, had a little glitchy playback today but that was because I created a midi-feedback with my controller in the preferences, it's back to normal now.
It would be nice if 7.02 would compose my music for me though, i kinda miss that feature...

qbical: Can you explain this feedback issue? Abes are admitting some problems with the midi signals creating clicks, pops and cpu spikes. I have been suffering with this issue. Could you briefly describe what you were doing and what you changed. Perhaps this is the problem with the midi bus.
Thanks

Hey,
I hooked up my uc-33 which I normally only use for live preforming onto my production computer. At first it didn't work so I went into the preferences and enabled "track" and "remote" for my controller. The problem was that I also had my midi-keyboard hooked up and the preferences listed only "USB-device" and "USB-device 2" so I enabled them all because I wanted to get on with the track.
I accidentally enabled the midi-out on one of the controllers as well that created a feedback loop I guess, live glitched whenever there was allot of automation data. Once I took the time to set my preferences right the problem was gone.
EDIT : I am a bit of a novice once it comes to live's midi setup panel, always had problems with it, but just trying things out might help you.

Apparently I am a novice device setup user as well. I took your suggestion and went over the midi setup. I had too many options selected, I believe. I reset everything to off and restarted my configuration. I am currently using a padKontrol and an Axiom 49. I configured each in the instant mappings and setup only input from each in the manual settings section. This seems to have gotten rid of my pops, glitches and even mousing problems. It is a bit early to say, but I haven't had a glitch since. Sounds like your "midi feedback" analysis is somewhat correct, at least there is something in terms of a conflict. Good call!

Damn, just installed Live 7.0.1 on a new "virgin" Windows Vista. Without any MIDI Controler like my SL. Same problems. When playing the Ableton Suite Demo I get these glitches again... I want 7.0.2!
