I used the Trigger Finger with no problems at all several months with my desktop PC. But with my new Lenovo R61 notebook the TF was not recognized after connecting it to the USB port. I contacted M-Audio and got a lot of replies very fast. Unfortunately none of their proposals solved my problem.
Finally I connected the TF via a cheap external (self powered) USB hub and now it works!

Thank you for your reply! I've been going insane trying to find a solution. Actually your the second person to suggest using an external usb hub. I guess I'll try that and post my results, thanks again!

I just purchased a targus self powered usb hub. I re installed the m audio 32 bit drivers for the m audio trigger finger and nothing. I have wasted much time and effort trying to get this piece of shit to work but its been completely fruitless. I'll try calling m audio tomorow but chances are nothing they say will work. This reall sucks ill keep trying though as i have no other choice.

I contacted the M-Audio guys via E-Mail and got replies always after one or two hours. Very nice. Finally they said the TF is probably not ok and that I should contact my dealer.
By the way, is your TF working on a different computer? Is it powering up on your computer? What is Windows saying when you connect TF to the USB port? Is it saying something at all? I am using XP and always got a message like "unknown USB device" (the real message was in German ...). What does the Device Manager (is there one in Vista?) say? Did you do a complete re-installation by deleting the USB device first out of your configuration?
Anyway, when you contact M-Audio I guess they will discuss all this stuff with you ...
