hey there... i usually use live to record my guitar and vocals thru a firewire focusrite saffire, output to an amp.. recently got a novation xiosynth tho, which connects via usb, and has its own audio board.. its fine if i just use the xiosynth to control things and output thru my computer speakers, but if i set it up with asio audio still going in and out of the saffire, the delay on the xiosynth is 5-10seconds, what am i doing wrong?

Are you using 2 interfaces at once. If so, I didn't think that was even possible.
So you use the Saffire for your input and the xio for your output??

no. i have the input coming from the saffire and the output going from the focusrite saffire out to my monitor speakers (separate to my pc speakers).. however this leaves the xiosynth with a huge delay
the xiosynth just has its own audio interface as well, and selecting that under 'asio' devices as an 'in' and 'out', plays through my pc speakers and seems to be the only way i can use the synth without a huge delay, but obviously this leaves me without my guitar coming in via the focusrite...
again:-
guitar & mic -> focusrite saffire -> ableton -> focusrite saffire -> monitor speakers
xiosynth is plugged in via usb and used as a control source in ableton, but this setup leaves it an unplayable delay.. how am i supposed to connect these devices properly? or is there some setting im missing?
