I got my copy with my Line 6 toneport so just really starting out with it. Went though some of the manual and at least now multitracking and using ezdrummer. Have to work out the drum thing next.
Any ways my next thing is to put together a song so Im going to start tonight, I will post my progress here. Any other guitarists on here using toneport and ableton?

yep,,
guitars,, guitars and more guitars,,
I use them as source material for just about every aspect of what i do in live even going so far as to edit out single cycle wave forms and then use them in sampler or impulse to create rhythmic hits or synth bass sounds,,
I have also just recently bought a PodX3live,,

Nice creative thinking there.
I use Live for different projects one of which is guitar based. I use Guitar Rig 2 (without their controller) mapped through to an FCB1010, which I also use to control Live so i can do loop based jams for practice.
I go in through a Motu Ultralite.
Works nice for me.
While i try to be tight as a player the thing i love about Live is going back in and warping the files to tighten everything up and then taking a basic recording with a GR2 patch and then overlaying some Live native compression and EQ etc. to beef it up and duplicate it along etc.
You can really get those guitars sounding massive!
Anyone recording acoustic into Live with multiple mikes? If so, what mikes do you prefer. I am having limited success with cheap dynamic mics...thinking about taking the plunge for a more expensive condenser pair.
Thoughts?

I'm using a rode NT3 to record my acoustic,,
i get a pretty good sound from it considering the environment i have to record in,,
Are you using GR to loop,, or are you jumping around in live??

Nice I like those Rode's. been eyeing up a NT1, but i'm really after a matched pair if funds will allow.
I haven't got on with the looping in GR too well, so I've got my own looping template set up in Live which i can trigger through the FCB.
It's a bit of a mind melt flipping up and down banks on the FCB, but once you get your process sorted out, works great.

Your songs sound very thick, layered them nicely!
Good job to you mate
