2 Novations - 1 Live - help

Hi

Is anyone running 2 novation midi controllers and Live?

I bought the zero SL a few weeks back and love it – so I got rid of my m-audio ozonic to buy the remote 25SL.

Thing is that I cant get both to work at the same time in Live.

In the Live preferences/MIDI folder - Live finds both devices under the same name, meaning it shows each device but with exactly the same name - Remote SL In/Output and then listed is the 2 available ports for in and 3 for out.

In the Novation I have set the template and global settings for the USB ports to Ua for one device and Ub for the other - so I assuming that the devices would be sending signals through those 2 different channels.

However - Live will not receive MIDI signals from the device which is switched on second – I have tried making sure they are sending through different MIDI channels, also tried switching both device outputs to Ua at the same time or Ub at the same time etc etc.

I have tried various combinations but nothing will get them to work at the same time.

...i use a Remote Sl 37 on Ableton Live 7 Demo here. When i play a Vsti on Remote Port1 if i have a delay maybe 50ms.
I cant play in realtime. Only Remote Port 1 generate this problem in V7. Not a other midi-port ( Fireface MidiIn , LegacyControler and so on )

You control both from one template 40 (Instruments and Mixer) or separate templ.38 and 40 ?
Template 40 show on the left site a vsti-map but i cant edit this with clear and learn . Have you the same bugs on version 1.3 UniversalAutomap ???

hi

i not really using any of the auto maps - i have been making my own templates for what i need and im using 4.1 installer

anyways - total respect to Ollie at Novation telephone tech support who helped me out on the phone and me and my buddy managed to get the 2 controllers working

more of a problem with my macs audio/midi set up
